1. Can I become Google guaranteed?

Currently, the Google Guarantee is available to a handful of home service providers in a few countries.

2. Start the verification process

Consumers have confidence in businesses that have earned the Google Guarantee badge.  This verification not only lets consumers know that a business is approved to advertise, it also verifies that your business is legitimate and that you possess the proper licensing.  Google utilizes third-party certification to ensure no conflict of interest. 

To be eligible for the badge, you must apply to become a Google Trusted Business. Depending on the type of business and services offered, there will be different certification requirements.  After submitting your documentation, Google will then review everything to ensure that it meets the criteria.  Once certified, you can display the badge on your website!

General Google Guaranteed Criteria:

  1. Are a current member of the Google Local Services Ads?
  2. Have an AdWords account with a PPC advertising budget in place.
  3. Website must be at least one year old.
  4. Using Google AdWords or Google Analytics for at least one year.
  5. Comply with Google policies.
  6. Demonstrate a high conversion or CTR.

In addition to the above items, you must, meet specific criteria to qualify:  including a physical address, a license, and business verification.

You must also pass a background check, license, insurance check, and screening their reviews and ratings. There are additional items, including, passing a couple of tests and completing the checklist of Google requirements.

3. Is there a fee for businesses?

Yes, the Google Guarantee costs $50 a month to verified businesses.  The also gives your business more exposure and give your business an upgraded profile in the Google My Business listings. The Google Guarantee insures buyers up to $2,000 lifetime cap if they are unhappy and want a refund.
